Our paper Beyond fidelity: Rethinking realism through human behavior in VR city modeling LOD design became available online on 28 July 2026 in the International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation.
Using eye-tracking experiments, the study examines how different levels of geometric, appearance, and semantic detail affect visual attention in virtual urban environments. The findings support evaluating city models through human perception and behavior when deciding which details to include.
