Using eye-tracking experiments, the study examines how different levels of geometric, appearance, and semantic detail affect visual attention in virtual urban environments. The findings support evaluating city models through human perception and behavior when deciding which details to include.

The study examines urban experience through sequences of street views, connecting visual variation across scales with how people perceive the city. It combines street-view imagery and geotagged social media data from Guangzhou.
